Too Ra Loo too good in Victoria

Monday, 31 May 2010

Zabeel’s current crop of 3YO fillies have been nominated as Maiden Winners more times than any other group this season and Too Ra Loo added her name to the list at Cranbourne on Sunday.

Too Ra Loo (3f Zabeel – Dancing Daze by Dance Floor) was easy in betting before the TAB Sunday Big 6 Maiden Plate (2025m) but she was always travelling like a winner once Luke Nolan set her alight at the half-mile.  She dashed past Word Me Up at the top of the straight and then comfortably held off the favourite Downes who came from the tail of the field.  The runner-up is also by Cambridge Stud’s champion sire.

Too Ra Loo had been runner-up over shorter trips at Hamilton and Warrnambool and she appreciated the step up to 2025 metres.  Peter Moody trains the winner for Raheen Stud owners Basil and Dianne Nolan and their son Basil jnr.  She was a $150,000 buy out of the Little Avondale draft at the 2008 Inglis Easter yearling sale.

Her dam Dancing Daze was a G2 winner of the Ellerslie Championship and she was also G2 placed in the Waikato Sir Tristram Fillies Classic.  She is a half-sister to Listed Rosehill winner Full Noise (Kaapstad) and Listed Moonee Valley winner General Booth (Entrepreneur).
