Basil Nolan heads Queensland Breeders
TBQA President Bob Frappell has resigned. The Clear Mountain Fairview studmaster has held the position since 2001. Raheen Stud owner Basil Nolan is the new TBQA President. Nolan was previously President for seven years. He is also on the committee of the Thoroughbred Breeders Association.

Wadham Park trainer Dale Sutton maintained his winning streak with Magic Millions graduates when Flash O’Brilliance saluted for the first time at Bendigo on Thursday. Flash O’Brilliance (3g Royal Academy – Sweet Thunder by Thunder Gulch) had over a length to spare in the Horses Birthday Celebrations Maiden (1600m). He was a bargain $27,000 buy out of the Raheen Stud draft at the 2008 Gold Coast Magic Millions Summer yearling sale.
