Forster flyer set for Sydney

Brisbane trainer Desleigh Forster is ready to hit the road with Adebisi for a Sydney campaign next month.

They will be joined by former Kiwi mare Poste Restante who scored an explosive first-up victory in the Kanga Couriers Hcp (1200m) at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

Adebisi (Shovhog) has been off the scene since the G3 Healy Stakes at the winter carnival.  Earlier in the season, the Raheen Stud bred sprinter had won the G3 George Moore Stakes and LR Bribie Hcp at Doomben.

Forster bought him out of the Raheen draft for $15,000 at the 2009 Magic Millions Summer Sale.  He has gone on to win 7 races and $545,500 for a syndicate headed by long-time client Doug Forbes.  “Don’t ever underestimate Adebisi,” Forster warned.  “He could have gone south early on but we decided to look after him.”

Adebisi will resume over 1000 metres at Eagle Farm on November 10.  His dam Hell For Leather foaled a filly by Raheen’s new sire Captain Sonador on September 6.

Forster has been running hot with 7 winners from her past 8 starters and another Raheen bred among them was Germayne Lass at Ipswich on Friday.

Germayne Lass (Stromberg Carlson) scored a barrier-to-box victory in the Sci-Fleet Hino Hcp (1350m).  It was her second win in three starts following a fresh victory at Doomben in September.

Stromberg Carlson has four lots catalogued for the Magic Millions 2YO Sale on October 31 and November 1 including Raheen colts from Reliquary (Lot 288) and Sarani (Lot 306).  The latter is a brother to Sound System who won three sprints in Perth before transferring to Melbourne.
