Atomic launches spring campaign

Group 1 winning sprinter Atomic Force is ready to resume racing after winning a barrier trial at Wyong on Monday.

Atomic Force (5g Danehill Dancer – Show Of Force by Luskin Star) jumped well and was restrained off the pace before powering home without the brakes being let off.

The Darren Smith trained flyer was only having an easy blow-out at the start of what is hoped to be a productive campaign for his owners Dynamic Syndications.

Dynamic manager Dean Watt bought Atomic Force for $50,000 from the Raheen consignment at the 2007 Gold Coast Magic Millions yearling sale.  He was bred by Queensland couple Geoff and Kathy Warfield and his bank balance now tops $620,000.

Atomic Force won the G1 The Galaxy (1100m) at Randwick during the autumn carnival.  He is scheduled to have another hit-out on August 2 before resuming in the LR Starlight Stakes at Rosehill on August 13.

After the Starlight, the gelding will head to Melbourne for The Heath (1100m) and McEwen Stakes (1000m) before the G1 Manikato Stakes at Moonee Valley in September.
